The idea that compensation is more than just salary was a recurring idea in the presentation given by Hali Croner, Chief Executive Officer of The Croner Company. Croner recaps her pre-ACA Summit 25 presentation in the above interview by pointing out that compensation goes beyond salary and includes:
- amenities and work environment
- time-off (technology companies often 2-3 days more than MSOs)
- opportunities to help the community
As software becomes a bigger part of their operations, MSOs are increasingly competing with traditional technology companies for talent. Croner points out that an MSO’s roots, particularly ACA members, in the community are an advantage over other technology businesses in appealing to individuals who want to help their hometowns.
