“We are now in twenty-two states besides Ohio, helping cable providers, electrical co-ops, municipals, other telephone companies, communications companies, and broadband providers,” says Luke Burkhart, CNI Sales & Account Manager. Lukehart describes the combination of the services CNI provides as ISP in a box. CNI customizes its offering for what its ISPs need, including
- 24/7/365 call support for an ISP’s customers,
- remote Network Operations Center capability,
- CALEA administration,
- IPTV headend,
- or software as a service
As Burkhart explains, these services evolved from CNI’s initial offering which was a lower-cost SS7 alternative for its incumbent, Ohio-based telco founder/shareholders. CNI has grown with its members and now has its own fiber network that traverses multiple states and a service offering that is available to any operator.
Despite its expansion, CNI’s focus remains on its clients (operators) and ensuring that they are able to provide a good experience to their customers.
