Virtually no maintenance and no worries about running out of gasoline are two of the benefits of an electric lawnmower. In this video, Emily Sword, Senior Marketing Communications Manager for Cub Cadet, discusses the benefits of Cub Cadet’s ZERO.

Cub Cadet calls it ZERO, because, as Jeff Salamon, Cub Cadet’s director of marketing said it requires, “zero gas, zero oil, zero filters, zero belts, zero cumbersome lap bars, zero emissions, zero engine maintenance, zero turf damage, and most remarkably, zero engine noise.” Although more upfront than a traditional mower, the low-cost maintenance and fuel costs promises to lower the total cost of ownership as compared to gasoline-powered alternatives.

One of the subtle benefits of going electric is the relative quiet noise footprint, which allows for mowing at times that would normally be off-limits for gasoline-powered mowers. Additionally, the zero-turning radius allows it to reach almost any spot in any grass field. It is also versatile, as it can pull a trailer or other accessories.
