Normally, ViodiTV travels across the fruited plain to help tell the stories of how robust broadband can transform rural communities. In the above interview, rural America traveled to Silicon Valley in the person of Jonathan Gennick. Gennick hails from Munising, MI and was in Silicon Valley at the Augmented World Expo 2016 searching for authors to write about the technical aspects of augmented, virtual and mixed reality technologies.
In the above interview Gennick explains how he went from cable to DSL to Fiber to Home customer and how the experience with FTTH is unmatched. More than technology, he talks about the importance of having local service technicians and representatives who are from the community to help resolve issues when they do occur. The bandwidth, coupled with service, allows him to enjoy the benefits of his rural community, while having a broadband connection that is on par or superior with what can be found in Silicon Valley.
