Len’s current CHM activities, Preserving Software and Planned Blockbuster Software Exhibit/Initiatives

Len explains that in addition to sitting in on “boring” CHM admin committees, his personal project (for last two years) is discovering, preserving and distributing old historic software, which was largely ignored at TCH in Boston. A lot of software can be preserved if we make the effort. Len describes several recent CHM software initiatives noting that software is very hard to properly exhibit. Coming attraction (pending completion of fund-raising): Make Software, Change the World. That is part of a whole series of initiative to collect, preserve, and exhibit software.

Len’s wife was said to be a good fund-raiser for the museum. Alan notes that he’s “Len’s PR agent”, as Alan has recruited him on several occasions to speak about the history of computing.
