Healthcare is going mobile, according to Nancy Green of Verizon.  In this video interview at the 2011 Broadband Properties Summit, Green mentions the various types of health care applications that benefit from the addition of a mobile connection; whether that mobile connection is on the patient or provider side.  The importance of meeting HIPPA requirements as data moves through the cloud and to the end-user device is also touched upon.

The shift to mobile healthcare is still somewhat nascent and the issues may be more cultural and mindset related, than technology and process.  Parks Associates is currently engaging both consumers and caregivers in a survey to determine their willingness to adopt this new approach to delivering healthcare.
