Echelon Entertainment has a category of classic content that might have some gems that would add to an independent telco’s local content offering. They have committed to providing Club Viodi members with discounts on their content.

What they are looking for are the titles that would be of most interest to independent telcos and Echelon will provide pricing and terms. The most valuable titles are those where an independent telco could create some sort of “local wrapper” to make a unique package. Here are a couple of examples of what I mean:

Classic Celebrity of the Month

Synopsis – Get a local sponsor for this – each month there would be a classic celebrity celebrated. I envision putting together a simple script that a sponsor (or representative) could read that would provide trivia about the star (maybe before, during an intermission break and afterwards). Some stars included in this library include Charlton Heston, John Wayne, Shelley Winters, Humphrey Bogart, Randolph Scott, Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Abbot and Costello, Judy Garland, Cary Grant, etc.

Educational:

There is a title called Abraham Lincoln. This one would be great to show during “President’s Day weekend. Could probably get the schools to support and make it a must watch show.
