The Making of the Rollercoaster Video

This video provides an overview of how datavideo created a video that superimposed Roger and Ken onto a rollercoaster ride. One trick, not mentioned in the video, was the use of fans to provide a wind-blown look to Ken and Roger’s respective hair. It is around the hair and other fine edges, that one normally sees the effects of Chromakeying (looks noisy or the green screen is seen, etc.).

The key to making this work is a very coherent light source (the green or blue LEDs) and the special material used in the reflective screen. Note, the quality of the chromakeying can be seen much better the video is encoded at a higher bit rate.
