In the is interview at the 2011 Broadband Properties Summit, Graham Richard, former mayor of Fort Wayne, IN, discusses the relationship between broadband and economic development.  He talks about the role of fiber for improving the delivery of municipal services.  He cites statistics that suggest that businesses getting started in homes where there is FTTH have significant more revenue than businesses that don’t have access to fiber.  He talks about the importance of broadband to enable the fully-connected health home and the resulting savings and improved quality of care.
