“It is great to be back here,” says ACA Connects EVP & COO, John Higginbotham. Likening the Independent Show 2022 to a work family reunion, he describes the magic of being with and catching up with colleagues and friends from all parts of the country.

Having been an attendee from the operator side of the business for many years, this was Higginbotham’s first-time as a staffer at this annual conference. In the above interview, he talks about

• the important work ACA is doing to help its members navigate the complexities of the federal regulatory environment,
• commends NCTC for its pivot and expansion into services beyond video content,
• and points out that, based on the activity on the tradeshow floor, operator-provided video “isn’t dead” and that there is a “whole lot of fiber.”

To this last point, he calls for flexibility by those who are issuing grants and loans in this unusual time to account for schedules that are sure to be impacted by the huge demand for fiber and the supply chain issues .
