The Local Content Club

Engaging students and high schools in the creation of local content is a great idea. What happens after the shine wears off or a new semester starts and the kids and teachers are no longer interested in the drudgery of producing video? Santel Communications of South Dakota has come up with some clever ideas to address these challenges, as described by Greg McCurry in this video interview.

McCurry discusses how, with little investment and minimal on-going expense, they are producing five high-quality local content channels that are well received by the community. He talks of some unique sponsorship opportunities that this content provides and how they are getting their message in front of thousands of fans each year. More than commerce, he explains how this service brings content to those seasoned citizens who no longer can go to the content.
