Technology as an amenity is one technique multi-tenant unit property owners can use to attract and retain tenants. Steve Sadler of Post Properties contributed to the program at the 2012 Broadband Communities Summit that delved into the types of amenities that tenants are demanding and that are available in the future. One of the more interesting applications that Sadler touches upon is the idea of electric charging stations as an amenity (there was a demonstration of this on the exhibition floor). He also points out that amenities are not homogeneous, as what works for one type of housing may not work for another.
