A New Game Plan Is Needed

NTCA’s CEO, Shirley Bloomfield talks about changes to USF, Intercarrier Compensation and how rural operators need to try a different game plan to have their and their customer’s voices heard in Washington D.C.  She suggests that the uncertainty needs to be resolved, as it is delaying operators’ plans for rolling out broadband.

And this uncertainty will impact the vendor community and ripple through the urban communities, where many of them are based.  She talks about NTCA’s initiative to get the vendors behind the advocacy effort.

Bloomfield is bullish on the industry and looks forward to finding new ways that independent operators can work together, as well as work with other industries, such as electric cooperatives, to create better services for their rural consumers.
