Scoring Royalty-Free Music

While Music Makes the World Go Round… it really makes video GO. As in… without it, many mediocre video’s would go nowhere.

Sooo… to help with this, products like Sonicfire “the Scoring Edition” creates customized soundtracks to match the feel, the moods, and the pace of your video. It’s a soundtrack creation tool for creating Royalty-free music from a large library of musical styles from classical to country, for Folk to fusion, or Jazz, Latin, Orchestra, Pop, Rock and Industrial.

I use several tools for creating music, but Sonicfire is probably my favorite, and the primary reason is the ability to fine tweak the timing of moods and variations to the changing scenes and moods of the video.

This following example isn’t the best, but it does demonstrates the basics to how Sonicfire works…

First I rendered a short video and added it to the Video window in SonicFire. This along with the track timeline makes it possible to match and fine tune music to the video’s variations.

Next I used the Express Track window to find and select the music. The spotting tool window helps in selecting music by recommending tempos, but I jumped to Express and simply picked one.

The next part is what I really like about Sonicfire… the timing control, and mood adjustments. That’s where you can really fine tune, and adjust the music to match the pace and mood of the video.

You can make even finer adjustments to instruments and moods in the timeline, so there’s more for the advanced composer. And you can insert hits along the way… to emphasize any little event. Like a transistion or flapping of wings.

The final step is to export the music file, and that’s my only complaint. The tool isn’t integrated with my video editing. In either case. I really like it, and use it.
